World Ozone Day, 2024

Eco-club, PDUAMB, celebrated “World Ozone Day” with the theme “Ozone for Life,” in collaboration with the Assam science Technology council, Assam. The event was held in the college conference hall and attended by dignitaries including Dr. Debojit Baruah, Principal, Dr. Shafiqul I. Bhuyan, Vice-principal, Dr. Ratul Kr. Nath, Assistant professor, department of botany, Behali degree college, Dr. Valentina Teronpi, Coordinator, IQAC, Dr. Arunav Phukan, HoD, Department of physics, Dr. Rakesh Dutta, department of chemistry, PDUAM, Behali, Assam.  The program featured plantation, experts’ lectures and slogan competitions among the students. Participants highlighted the importance of protecting the ozone layer, referencing the Montreal and Kyoto Protocols. The chief guest emphasized humanity’s responsibility for ozone depletion and the need to reduce chlorofluorocarbons. Principal also addressed the students, praising their contributions. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Arpita, distribution of prizes and refreshments by the Ms. Heena Agarwal and Mridulina Hazarika, faculty of the department of Botany, PDUAM, Behali.
