On September 30, 2023, The Women’s Cell at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Adarsha Mahavidyalaya, Behali, in collaboration with ASAV India Charitable Trust, orchestrated a one-day health check-up and awareness camp. Dr. Kallol Bhuyan, a trustee of ASAV India, along with fellow trust members, nurses, and dedicated ASHA workers, ensured the seamless functioning of the camp.
Distinguished doctors, Dr. Abdul Kalam, Dr. Seemanta Bora, and Dr. Tushar Kaushik from Bishwanath district, generously offered their services. The team provided free health check-ups and essential medication to over 150 women and children hailing from neighboring villages. An informative session on menstrual hygiene was a pivotal component of this event. Approximately 160 women were furnished with complimentary sanitary pads.
Dr. Debojit Baruah, the principal, delivered an inspiring introductory address, setting a positive ambiance for the gathering. The Women’s Cell, under the able guidance of Dr. Irani Saikia, the Coordinator, and its devoted members including Dr. Valentina Teronpi,Jahnabi Nath, Parinita Bora,Swatilekha Nag, Heena Agarwal, Elbani L.Hrangkhol, Pallabi Boro, and Ananya Nath, played instrumental roles in the seamless execution of this impactful event.
